Rules and Regulations!
updated 10/15/06
Welcome to the White Tower Community of Dragonmount. We're glad you've decided to join us! Being a newbie can be confusing at times, so we've compiled the following collection of rules & regulations to help you on your way. If you have any questions about something you see here, PLEASE contact the MoN/MaA's office or your mentor for clarification. We're here to help and we already bit the last person in our inbox, so you're safe. ;)
RULES
While you're here at the Tower, we expect you to follow the below listed rules. If you've been added to the books, you will be held accountable for knowing, understanding and living by them. There are consequences for breaking them, so PLEASE do yourself a favor and read 'em!
1- Channeling- While we are the Community Side and we don't "RP," there have been weaves flying around the Tower for years. Please note, Novices channeling is frowned upon (and can result in penances). Accepteds channeling is tolerated in moderation. Warders channeling... well, let's just say that most of the Sisters in the Tower know how to gentle someone who needs it...
2- Interaction- While you are on the White Tower Forums (or any other board at DM, I might add), we expect you to treat other people with the dignity and respect they deserve. Rudeness, flaming, and any activity not considered PG13 (as per the rating of the site), will be dealt with swiftly. We don't expect you to love everyone, but we do expect you to respect them.
REGULATIONS
The following regulations have been put in place to address issues we've noticed occurring often. You will be held to these regulations, so please become familiar with them.
1- ALL new members must complete "White Tower and the DM World," a seminar hosted by the MoN/MaA (or her/his designee) in the Lecture Hall forum on the Dragonmount site. Please see the Discussions and Seminars page for information about how to get signed up for this class. Lor will start a new class signup thread when the class before it has been completed. Yes, this is for Algai as much as Novices. Failure to complete this prior to raising to Accepted will result in delay of your raising thread until this requirement has been met.
2- No Novice/Algai can declare their Ajah/Discipline before reaching the level of Accepted/Manshima. Before declaring for an Ajah, you must first have been accepted by the Head of that Ajah/Discipline. The Head of the Ajah will advise the MoN/MaA and your records will be edited accordingly when you have been accepted. Failure to get acceptance will result in a delay in your Raising thread (to Aes Sedai/Der'Manshima), until such time as you have been accepted. Conditions for acceptance are at the discretion of the Ajah Head. Any questions or problems with this, should be directed to the MoN/MaA or The Amrylin. Declaration Ceremonies will be hosted in the Great Hall after acceptance to the Ajah. :)
